The company “UKRBAZALTIZOL” is a follower and adopter of the technologies of the Bilychysk Plant “Thermal Sound Insulation – TZI”, as well as the “Rotis” trademark of the Chernivtsi Plant “TIM”.

In 1974, a scientific organization was organized in the USSR, which owes a lot of technology and equipment – “Laboratory of Basalt Fibers”. Laboratories engaged in scientific and practical work on basalt supertonic and tonic fibers and materials based on them. One of them was the development of BBV machinery and equipment.

By 1985, the first industrial plant for the production of BNV was developed and built. Industrial production of basalt fiber began at the “Thermal sound insulation – TZI” plant near Kyiv in the village of Kotsyubynske, headed by O.O. Medvedev. Over the course of several years, several more industrial plants with a capacity of 350 and 500 tons of BNV per year were built.

All further development and construction of basalt filament production plants in Russia, Georgia, and China were carried out exclusively by Ukrainian specialists.

TZI is an innovative enterprise in the application of basalt fiber materials for composites.
