Basalt roving

Basalt roving is an untwisted thread that consists of continuous basalt fibers. The basalt product surpasses glass roving in many properties and is not much inferior to carbon roving.

Roving made of basalt fibers is superior in strength to glass and metal counterparts, has increased heat resistance and corrosion resistance. Roving basalt has good thermal insulation properties and consists of environmentally friendly materials.

Scope of application of basalt roving

Basalt roving is used in the manufacture of basalt plastic reinforcement, roving fabrics, chop mats, various composite materials, basalt plastic nets and awnings, for reinforcing concrete products, as well as for creating a geotextile fabric. Roving from basalt fibers is actively used in the manufacture of pipes for the energy, chemical and heavy industries.

Advantages of basalt roving

Basalt roving products have extremely high tensile strength and increased strength. Moreover, the material has anti-corrosion properties and does not react with aggressive chemicals, copes well with high temperatures and has good physical and mechanical parameters.

Advantages:

  • Durability
  • Corrosion and fire resistance
  • Maintaining performance at low temperatures from -250°c and high temperatures up to +850°c
  • Recyclable
